Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.
Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

While there is no "hotel pick up," the loop may pass by your hotel with a stop at or near your hotel.

The areas covered by the routes on this tour is very spread out. Therefore, it is suggested that you only attempt to ride a maximum of two routes in a single 24 hour period.

What is the Hop On Hop Off Tour?
This tour allows you to discover all the sites and major attractions of the Los Angeles/Hollywood/Santa Monica area. It's a tour that gives you the freedom to get on or off the open-top buses at over 50 stops around the area. At any stop you can spend as much time as you want shopping, eating at various restaurants or checking out attractions. When you are ready to continue with your tour, just refer to ther timetable and get on the next scheduled bus.
How long can I use my Hop On Hop Off ticket?
You decide by purchasing a Hop On Hop Off ticket that is valid for either 24 hours or 48 hours. If you want to change a 24-hours ticket into a 48-hours ticket, you can purchase an extension on the bus from the driver before the ticket expires.
Is the ticket valid for all of the routes?
Yes, the tickets are valid for all of the routes - RED (Hollywood), YELLOW (Beverly Hills and Santa Monica), and PURPLE (Downtown LA) routes, as well as the BLUE (Universal Connector Service).
Is the tour narrated?
The three main tours are fully narrated - pointing out the places of interest and the history of the city. The narration is pre-recorded in clear English and is triggered by GPS. The BLUE Connector Service does not have narration.
What types of buses are used for this tour?
The buses for the Hollywood and Santa Monica routes are open-top London Double-Decker buses, allowing you to see the city from a unique perspective. The Downtown LA route uses an open-top Single-Decker bus, and the Universal Connector service is an enclosed air conditioned shuttle bus.
What are the hours of operation for the Hop On Hop Off buses?
They operate 7 days a week from 9:00 am to as late as 8:30 pm. Hollywood, Downtown LA and Universal Tours start at 9:00 am from the Chinese Theatre Stop, and the Santa Monica Tour starts at 10:00 am from the Beverly Hills/W. 3rd Street Stop and at 9:25 am from the Santa Monica Visitor Information Center at the Main Street Stop.
How do I connect from one route to another route?
The Yellow Route and the Red Route connect at the Beverly Hills/W. 3rd Street Stop (between Burton Way and S. Santa Monica Blvd. behind the Beverly Hills Court House). The Red Route, Purple Route and the Universal Connector Service all connect at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
How do I find a Hop On Hop Off bus stop?
Currently, there are physical bus stop signs at Yellow Route stops #52-61, #63, Red Route stops #1-3, #9-17, and Blue Connector Service stops #22 and #25. For stops without physical bus stop signs please refer to the Hop On Hop Off brochure which is available when you board the bus.
Is the Hop On Hop Off a "child friendly" tour?
Yes, children will enjoy the fun of our open-air Double Decker Buses.
Can we join the tour at any Hop On Hop Off stop?
Yes, the narration is linked to each stop; so if you stay on the bus you will always hear and experience the entire route. However, joining at starting points is preferred.
Are the buses Wheelchair Accessible?
Every other bus (at a minimum) on each Hop On Hop Off loop is wheelchair accessible. If you require more specific details on the timing of these wheelchair accessible buses on any of the loops, you will be provided a telephone number on your E-Ticket that you can call for that information.
